BackgroundThe initiative was established within South Lanarkshire in March 1998 and is funded by the Scottish Executive through the RSI Advisory Group. The initiative is operated / managed through a partnership between Barnardos, South Lanarkshire Council and YMCA Glasgow. Beginning with 2 full time members of staff, the initiative now has 11 full time workers.The aim of the initiative is to reduce the extent of Rough Sleeping & homelessness within South Lanarkshire through the development of person centred services in partnership with related agencies within the homelessness field. |
